On Wednesday, May 6 our school has been invited to participate in the Holocaust Memorial March For Change in Saskatoon. This is organized by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission and the Think Good. Do Good organization. This is the same group that brought Robbie Waisman to our school in September.
I have provided students that were interested in attending a permission form and am looking forward to seeing them have an opportunity to be a part of this incredible experience.“Wednesday morning at 9:30 am we invite you with up to 60 students to Congregation Agudas Israel Synagogue where we will listen to the story of a Holocaust survivor named Sally Wasserman who was a hidden child as well as share the company of two other survivors. Following Sally's story, 500 students, teachers and guests will march around the block of the synagogue in support, strength and remembrance. We ask the students to consider the change they want to be in improving our community.” – Heather Fenyes (Think Good. Do Good)
